Ο Κώστας Γλένης γεννήθηκε στη Λευκάδα.
Σπούδασε στο Πανεπιστήμιο Ιωαννίνων (τμήμα Μέσων και Νέων Ελληνικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Ιωαννίνων).
Το 1974 γνωρίζεται με τον Θεόδωρο Στάμο και συνδέεται μαζί του με στενή φιλία μέχρι το θάνατο του(1997). Μαθητεύει κοντά του όλα αυτά τα χρόνια και μάλιστα φιλοξενείται για ένα διάστημα στο σπίτι του στην Νέα Υόρκη , όπου και παρακολουθεί μαθήματα στη τάξη του Στάμου στο Arts Students League (1979-1980)
Ιδρυτικό μέλος της Ομάδας «Δρόμοι στην Τέχνη» ,1978.
Είναι μέλος του Επιμελητηρίου Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδας.

Kostas Glenis was born in Lefkada.
He studied at the University of Ioannina (Department of Greek and New Media Studies, University of Ioannina).
In 1974 he met Theodore Stamos and connected together with close friends until his death (1997). Apprenticed in all these years and has hosted for a while at his home in New York, where he has been attending the class stops at the Arts Students League (1979-1980)
Founding member of the "Art in the Streets", 1978.
He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
